Culturally Relevant Practices
In J500, Instruction in Context of Curriculum, we unpacked probing questions such as what is education, and what is school. We explored agency, being more than a voice. We did this by conducting walkthroughs and observations.

School Improvement Planning
Recruiting and retaining teachers was the center of my School Improvement Plan. This plan showcases how we modified the school schedule to allow teachers more time to complete job duties. The purpose was to facilitate a work-life separation.
Site Based UIL Activities
I currently serve as the instructional coach for grades K-2 and the buildings literacy coach. This means I also oversee the two reading rooms that house a total of six reading specialist. I collaborate with administrators, teachers, and interventionist to generate a system to support our students. Our goal is to implement the science of reading with fidelity.
